What is the Airtel Africa Foundation Tech Scholarship?
The Airtel Africa Foundation Undergraduate Tech Scholarship is designed to bridge the digital divide by empowering bright students who face financial challenges.
This comprehensive scholarship provides support for the full 4 to 5 years of Bachelor’s degree programs. It specifically targets students enrolled in Technology, Science, and Engineering disciplines who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need.
Participating Universities (2025/2026 Cycle)
This scholarship is exclusively open to students currently enrolled on-site at the following seven federal and state institutions:
- University of Lagos (UNILAG)
- University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN)
- Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU)
- University of Benin (UNIBEN)
- Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)
- University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)
- Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED)
Eligibility Criteria: Who Should Apply?
To qualify for this funding, you must meet the following strict criteria:
- Nationality: You must be a Nigerian citizen.
- Enrollment: You must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at one of the 7 universities listed above.
- Course of Study: You must be studying a STEM course (Science, Technology, Engineering) or an ICT-related discipline.
- Performance: You must provide evidence of strong academic performance.
- Financial Status: You must be able to demonstrate genuine financial need.
