If you’ve been refreshing the FUTA website or stalking JAMB CAPS, this one’s for you. The Office of the Registrar has released an important addendum opening up additional screening for several available courses in the 2026/2027 undergraduate admissions.

When Is the Screening Happening?
The screening window is open from Thursday, 17th September 2026 to Friday, 2nd October 2026. Don’t wait till the last day — portals can get congested.
Who Can Apply?
You’re eligible if you:
- Scored 180 or above in the 2026 UTME
- Chose FUTA as your first choice
- Have at least five O’Level credit passes (including English Language and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent)
- Have the correct UTME subject combination for the course you’re applying for
- Will be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026
Also very important: Your O’Level results must be uploaded on JAMB CAPS (or verified through the JAMB verification portal). No upload = no admission consideration.
How to Register (Step by Step)
- Visit the official FUTA website: www.futa.edu.ng
- Generate your Remita payment code and pay the screening fee of ₦2,000 at any bank
- After payment, go back to the website and complete the online Post-UTME registration form
- Print out your registration slip
Quick notes:
- Make sure your UTME registration number and full names match exactly what is on your JAMB slip.
- If you already paid and registered for the earlier Post-UTME, you don’t need to pay again.
- Already registered but want to switch to one of these listed courses? Just update your portal — no extra payment required.
What Happens If You Miss It?
Simple: If you don’t register within the given period, you won’t be screened. And if you’re not screened, you won’t be considered for admission. FUTA is very clear on this.
