The Federal University of Education, Zaria (FUEZ) has announced the release of its admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates who applied for admission can now check whether they have been offered a place through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Currently, admission status is accessible only through JAMB CAPS.
How to check the FUEZ admission list on JAMB CAPS
Candidates can check their FUEZ admission status by following these steps:
- Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.
- Log in using the registered JAMB username and password.
- Scroll down and select Check Admission Status.
- Click Access my CAPS.
- Select Admission Status to check whether FUEZ has offered admission.
Candidates can also consult the JAMB CAPS guide for more information about the platform.
What the JAMB CAPS admission status messages mean
Candidates checking their FUEZ admission status may see one of the following messages:
- Admission Offered: JAMB has approved the candidate’s admission. The candidate can proceed to accept or reject the offer.
- Admission in Progress (AIP): FUEZ has reviewed the application and recommended the candidate for admission. The recommendation is awaiting approval from the Head of Institution, followed by JAMB’s final review.
- Recommended: The university has considered the candidate for admission. The application is awaiting JAMB’s review to determine whether the necessary requirements have been met.
- Not Admitted: The candidate has not yet been selected for admission. This may mean the application is still under consideration or the admission list has not been fully released.
- Pending: The application remains under review and a final admission decision has not been made.
How to accept or reject FUEZ admission
Candidates who have been offered admission are required to accept or reject their offers.
They can respond through either of the following methods:
- Biometric verification: Visit an approved JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre to accept or reject the admission offer through biometric verification. Candidates can consult the JAMB-approved CBT centre information.
- SMS: Send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019, using the phone number registered with JAMB.
Candidates using the SMS option must have ₦50 in their main airtime balance. Borrowed airtime or Xtra Credit cannot be used for the service.
After accepting the admission offer, candidates should print their JAMB admission letters. The JAMB admission letter printing guide explains how to obtain the document.
How to access JAMB CAPS on a mobile phone
Some candidates using mobile phones may see only the welcome message when they open JAMB CAPS. The Admission Status option may not appear in the mobile view.
Candidates experiencing this problem can switch their browser to desktop mode.
For those using Google Chrome, the steps are:
- Open JAMB CAPS in Chrome.
- Open the Chrome browser menu.
- Select Request desktop site.
- View the full CAPS page and locate the Admission Status option.
Switching to desktop mode may help candidates access the admission status section that is not visible in the mobile view.
