ATBU Bauchi Physical Screening 2026/2027: Requirements & Important Dates

ATBU Bauchi Physical Screening 2026/2027

If you applied to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi and completed your online screening, the next step is here. The university has released the schedule for physical screening, and the window closes on Thursday, 22nd October 2026, so there is little time left.

What Is the Announcement?

In a notice dated 30th September 2026 (Ref: ATBU/REG/ACD/1A), the Office of the Registrar informed all prospective UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates that the physical screening exercise for the 2026/2027 admissions will hold from Thursday, 8th October to Thursday, 22nd October 2026.

The notice was signed by the Registrar, Kabiru Garba Aminu.

Who Should Attend?

Only candidates who applied to ATBU and completed the online screening are eligible. If that’s you, check whether you’ve been invited by visiting the university’s screening portal:

www.screening.atbu.edu.ng

Log in to view and print your invitation letter. You’ll need it to attend.

Where Is the Screening Held?

Candidates are to report to the University Main Campus, OPOLLO Innovation Hub at Gubi Campus.

Documents to Bring

Bring the original copies of the following:

  1. JAMB result slip
  2. Invitation for physical screening
  3. Online screening acknowledgement slip
  4. O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and Grade II), downloaded from the internet, from not more than two sittings
  5. Birth certificate or declaration of age
  6. Indigene certificate
  7. NCE/ND/IJMB results (for Direct Entry candidates only)

Important Warnings

The notice includes two rules that every candidate should take seriously:

  • Missing your slot has consequences. Any candidate who fails to appear within the allotted time will be replaced immediately.
  • No change of course after screening. The university will not entertain requests to change course once physical screening is done, so make sure your choice is right before you proceed.

Practical Tips for Candidates

  • Start with the portal. Print your invitation letter and acknowledgement slip early, in case of network issues or printer queues.
  • Prepare your documents now. Download and print your O’Level results, and confirm that your birth certificate and indigene certificate are available. If any is missing, begin the process of obtaining it immediately.
  • Check your result combinations. If you used two sittings, make sure both results are printed and consistent with your application.
  • Arrive early, and travel in advance. If you’re coming from outside Bauchi, plan your journey so you aren’t rushing on the day.
  • Keep copies. The notice asks for originals, but photocopies of everything are useful as backup.
  • Beware of fraud. Use only the official ATBU portal and notices. Don’t pay anyone who promises to “secure” your admission or help you skip screening.

With the deadline just days away, don’t delay. Log in to the portal, confirm your invitation, gather your documents, and show up prepared.

Always confirm details on the official ATBU website or portal before travelling, as schedules and requirements can change.
